Why we like it: 1 ½ months ago, we asked the community for help fulfilling a client’s request for images of the Glade Creek Grist Mill in Babcock State Park, West Virginia.

A few weeks back – Darren uploaded two lovely renditions of this scene. Both are great!   I think the composition of the vertical image is the stronger of the two, but you should check ‘em both out and decide for yourself.

Darren points out in the description for this image that he used both a warming filter and a soft focus filter. While such filters can easily be overdone, they work well in a classic pastoral scene like this.

What do you think?

I think they are both stunning images of this lovely and peaceful scene. Very nice job with the filters. Congratulations!

This reminds of a painting I once saw. Are you sure this is a photo? It is beautiful

Beautiful shot! It’s rare to see art on a microstock site. I must admit that I kind of wish the lady in the background was edited out though.
Either way great work~:)
